Mermaid Annabel and Sad Marjatta is a play about transience. It is an attempt to copy a moment that once was. It is an attempt to capture the freedom inherent in a child's body. It is based on performances by five children under the age of 9, which the adults try their best to copy. The work is hilarious and obsessive.
Mermaid Annabel and Sad Marjatta premiered at the Zodiak Stage on 5 September 2016 and was also performed at the Kokkola Winter Dance Festival 2016.
